Here’s Sandra with her favourite Ecuadorean fruit, a Naranjilla. It looks like frogspawn, no?
Sandra was at the homestay in Quito with us. She’s from Germany but has been traveling the last eight years, around the world, working in hospitality and as a dive instructor. When you first meet her, it’s hard to place where she’s from because of the blend of accents. Her English is slightly Australian with a South African twang and the occasional word said like a true east coast American.
We knew straight away that we liked her. She says what she thinks, doesn’t faff around making decisions and just has that mother-hen vibe going on.
Sandra, thanks for making our Ecuadorean experience (so far), that much more fun, for sharing with us your coconut biscuits, helping us with our Spanish verbs and generally being muy chévere.
See you at Octoberfest, 2018! 😉
